Return + Exchange Policy

We want all our customers to be happy with our products. If you have any concerns about your Aéropostale® product, you can return or exchange it as long as it is in its original, unworn/unused condition with tags and proof of purchase within 60 days of the purchase.

You can exchange eligible items at any Aéropostale® store. To find your nearest store location, click here. We cannot accept exchanges by mail at this time. However, you can simply place a new order for the item you need and then mail back the original item for a refund.

  • Items must be purchased online at www.sparctale.com or in a US Aéropostale® store location to be eligible for a return.
  • Return refunds will be issued to the original method of payment.
  • All return refunds will reflect the original discounts and promotions applied to the purchase.
  • Items purchased online must be returned with the packing slip or with the price tickets attached.
  • If there appears to be fraud or abuse, we will not return your item.

Returns + Exchanges by Mail

If you ordered an item online, please click here to start your return. If possible, reuse the original packaging to send the item back.

  • An $8 return label fee will be deducted from your refund for items returned by mail. If you are entitled to a free return, this fee will not be deducted once the item is processed by our returns department.
  • Items purchased online and picked up in an Aéropostale® store must be exchanged or returned to a US store and must be accompanied by the original Aéropostale® pickup receipt.
  • Items purchased at the store and shipped to you must be exchanged or returned to a US store and must be accompanied by the original purchase receipt.

Exchanges cannot be processed by mail at this time. Simply place a new order for the item you need and then mail back the original item for a refund.

Return by Mail Instructions

  1. Find your order number on your packing slip, order confirmation email or shipping email. Please remove any prefixes before "AO" when entering your order number on the return form, and remove the last digit from your extended order number. For example, for order #TMAOCI2345678 enter AOCI234567 to start a return.
  2. Visit https://returns.narvar.com/aeropostale/returns by clicking here and entering your order number and the email address associated with the order to initiate your return.
  3. Select the item(s) you wish to return and the reason for your return.
  4. Print out your return label and packing slip. Don't have a printer? Share your return label email with the QR code to your UPS drop-off center for assistance.
  5. Package your return item(s) and attach your return label to the box. If possible, use the original packaging.
  6. Drop off your return to a UPS shipping center or drop-off location here.

Returns + Exchanges in Store

It is easy to return products purchased on www.sparctale.com or from a US Aéropostale® store location to any Aéropostale® store. To find a store location near you, please use our Store Locator.

  • Online purchases can be returned to your local store for free. Outbound shipping and handling costs, gift-wrap costs, and other charges are non-refundable.
  • If a return label was initiated online, the pending return must be canceled before returning the item to the store. Please contact Customer Service here for assistance.
  • Returns must be made in person. Aéropostale® retail stores do not accept returns via mail.
  • Certain categories are online exclusives and must be returned by mail. Our Exclusions list can be found here. This list is subject to change.
  • If you have any questions about returning your online purchase to a store, please contact Customer Service here and we'll be happy to assist you with returning your item by mail.

Exchanges can be made free of charge in-store as long as the item is still in its original unused/unworn condition with tags and is within 60 days from the purchase date. If the size/color you want is no longer in stock, you may return for a refund. Please note that you can only exchange for a new size, color, or length (where applicable) of the same item. We cannot accept exchanges without your receipt, invoice, or order confirmation.
